As my friends know, I'm a happy user and supporter of Linux, and a partisan in the Unix-vs.-Microsoft rivalry, so I'm pleased to see this story about a successful business (Ball, the maker of guitar strings) that found they could do very well without any of Microsoft's expensive and flaky software.
stblogs.org operates on servers running Linux and other open-source products without a trace of anything that would generate revenue for Bill Gates and his population-control causes.
Fwiw, I'm not against commercial products: Movable Type is one. At present we actually use it for free, as they allow non-commercial sites to do.
